Bottled gas in Indonesia for household use comes in 3 kg and 15 kg gas tank.Three kg one is more widely available, because some years ago Indonesian Government decided to launch a program to encourage its citizen using gas instead of using wood, kerosene or some other stuffs. So, each household was allocated (FOC) a gas tank, hose with fitting and a single burner stove.
Where they are available, three kg gas tank can be purchased for about two hundred thousand rupiah or less. To get the refill, simply return the empty one and pay roughly about seventeen thousand rupiah, you will get a full one. Price tend to be higher at less accessible places.
The proper fitting and the hose are available separately. Happy cooking!
